Hon. Muhammad Usman is the immediate past Member House of Representatives in the 8th National Assembly 2015 – 2019 from Kaduna State. As the Deputy Chair Committee on Health Care Services, he supported and sponsored legislations and motions aimed at strengthening Nigerian Health System and improving the quality of health care delivery. He is a close collaborator of John Hopkins IVAC Projects in Nigeria by virtue of his role as Vaccine Champion of the Women Advocacy for Vaccines Access (WAVA).
As a member of the National Advocates of Health and prominent member of the Legislative Network for Universal Health Coverage he has been a strong voice in advocating for increase and timely release of funds to the Health Sector.
Hon. Usman has extensive experience in the Public and Private Sector. He was twice Chairman of Makarfi LGA Kaduna State and three times Commissioner in the State.
He was one time General Manager, Corporate Affairs of Peugeot Automobile Nig. Ltd. He is a recipient of several awards.
