LISDEL Engages CSOs/Media on the Effectiveness for BHCPF Accountability in Kaduna

Kaduna State Ministry of Health and the State Primary Health Care Board have pledged readiness to continue partnering with development partners working in the state to improve health care delivery across the state.

This was submitted by State Commissioner of Health and humanitarian services during a Stakeholders Engagement Meeting organized by a non government organization, Legislative Advocacy Initiative for Sustainable Development, (LISDEL) in Kaduna.

During her speech, Hon. Commissioner for Health Dr Amina Mohammed Baloni expressed that health is the business of everybody and that the gathering has given the voices of the individuals who access the services an opportunity to speak on how the State is faring, the issues abounding and suggestions that could be recommended towards the development of the State.

She acknowledged the need for a healthy society, as this translates into healthy citizens in the workplace, giving their own quota to the overall development and progress of he State.

Other speakers addressed the drawbacks, progress and required next steps, to ensure PHC services are responsive and provide the needed services on demand.

The Primary Health Care service is accessed by about 80% of the population. It is then imperative that it works.
