Lack of adequate releases, coordination, and documentation impediments to Women Economic Empowerment funding in Nigeria- dRPC-PAWED coalition

A total of N47,219,824,888 was approved and allocated in the 2021 budget to 80 Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs), under 10 key ministries for the implementation of 573 Women economic empowerment, but none releases, poor sex disaggregation of empowerment programmes, non-specification of programmes location and number of prospective beneficiaries WEE Projects duplication, several of the MDAs have their WEE projects and allocation reduced in 2022 compared to 2021 approved budget, poor availability of WEE projects implementation report, and lack of WEE projects coordination among the MDAs is affecting the impact of these interventions.
