Iran, Zimbabwe Emphasize Deepening Trade, Economic Ties in SMEs

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Officials from Iran and Zimbabwe stressed the need to broaden the trade and economic cooperation in small- and medium-sized economic enterprises (SMEs).

Speaking in a meeting with Zimbabwe’s Ambassador to Iran Bright Kwimba, CEO of Iran Small Industries and Industrial Parks Organization (ISIPO) Farshad Moqimi said the two countries have high potential to enhance their relations in all fields, especially in trade and economy.

Highlighting the industrial capabilities of Iran, he said the ground has been provided for the two countries to promote the level of their trade and economic relations.

Moqimi further said that his organization is ready to provide the products needed by the African country and said that Zimbabwe can take advantage of Iran’s high capacities in the fields of technical and engineering services, reconstruction and renovation of industries, provision of industrial and agricultural machinery, etc, IRNA reported.

For his turn, the Zimbabwean envoy to Tehran hailed Iran’s achievements on the path of industrialization.

Zimbabwe is ready to take advantage of Iran’s significant experiences in the field of industrialization to empower its industrial capacities, Kwimba emphasized.

A trade and economic delegation from Zimbabwe is scheduled to travel to Iran to learn about the capacities of the SMEs and the capabilities of Iran’s private sector, in line with promoting the trade and economic ties between the two countries.
