Governor Dikko Umaru Radda has approved the release of ₦2,737,603 billion to construct seventy-five (75) Junior and Secondary Schools across all 34 Local Government Areas of Katsina State.

A statement by Ibrahim Kaula Mohammed, the Chief Press Secretary, CPS, to the Katsina Governor, said the gesture was one of his campaign promises to boost education in the state.

According to the statement, the amount represents 20 percent initial advance payment to the contractors.

The construction is being supported by the World Bank AGILE Project, which is also aimed at enhancing secondary education opportunities for adolescent girls in the state.

“Without a doubt, this capital project will significantly boost education in Katsina State,” Kaula Mohammed quoted the Governor.
